Jobs & Hope WV Receives 2025 WV Community Organization Award for Statewide Impact on Substance Use Disorder Care

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Jobs & Hope WV has been honored with the 2025 West Virginia Community Organization Award for Statewide Impact on Substance Use Disorder Care. The award recognizes community-based organizations that have made an exceptional impact in addressing substance use disorders across the continuum of care.

Manager Deborah Harris accepted the award on behalf of Jobs & Hope WV. “We are proud to stand alongside our partners in this important work and remain committed to helping West Virginians build brighter futures,” Harris said.

Since its inception, Jobs & Hope WV has helped 10,510 participants find employment, completed 47 expungements, reinstated 3,076 driver’s licenses, and supported 2,033 participants in no longer receiving SNAP benefits. The organization works across the state to remove barriers to employment and provide recovery support, collaborating with community partners and state programs to offer education, job training, and resources that empower participants to succeed.

The West Virginia Office of Drug Control Policy, part of the Department of Human Services, presented the award in recognition of Jobs & Hope WV’s measurable impact in improving access to care, supporting recovery efforts, and promoting long-term stability for individuals affected by substance use disorders.

“Receiving this award is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the resilience of the participants we serve,” Harris added.

Jobs & Hope WV continues to work tirelessly alongside partners and community members to create meaningful opportunities and support lasting recovery across the state.
