2022 WV Reentry and Recovery Works Conference

Date: May 18, 2022
Location: Charleston Marriott Town Center, 200 Lee St E, Charleston, WV 25301

Labor shortage? Supply chain chaos? Across the nation, there are more job openings than people applying. Meanwhile, millions of individuals in substance use recovery and formerly incarcerated Americans who have served their time are struggling to find stable employment upon reentry. This takes a toll on West Virginia families and our economy. It’s time to bridge the gaps and create job opportunities for dependable and engaged employees. Join us on May 18 for the Reentry and Recovery Works Conference in Charleston, WV, as we connect employers with employees through networking opportunities and professional development.

JOB SEEKERS can attend to learn about reentry and recovery employment opportunities in West Virginia and how to obtain and sustain meaningful employment. Sessions specific to job seekers will take place in the afternoon.

BUSINESS OWNERS AND HIRING MANAGERS will learn about resources and incentives of second chance hiring through federal tax credits, free bonding programs, on-the-job training funding, recovery-friendly best practices, and other resources as you engage with public agencies and nonprofits already making successful reentry a reality in West Virginia. Sessions specific to employers will take place in the morning.

REGISTRATION IS FREE for both in-person and virtual attendees!

This conference qualifies for 2 SHRM PDC hours.
