Jobs & Hope WV to Host Opportunity Expo in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. — Jobs & Hope WV will host an Opportunity Expo at Grand Central Mall in Parkersburg, WV, providing an opportunity for employers, resource partners and job seekers to connect and explore employment, training and support services.

The Opportunity Expo will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Grand Central Mall. The event will bring employers and community resource organizations together with individuals seeking employment opportunities and connections to services that can support their career goals.

“The Opportunity Expo is an event to bring employers, resource partners and job seekers together in one location,” said Deb Harris, manager of Jobs & Hope WV. “We want to create meaningful connections that can lead to employment opportunities and help individuals take the next step toward a brighter future.”

Recovery Friendly Workplace Training

Before the Opportunity Expo, Jobs & Hope WV will offer a Recovery Friendly Workplace training for employers and resource partners.

The training will provide information to help employers better understand recovery in the workplace and identify ways they can create supportive environments for employees in recovery.

Employers and resource partners are encouraged to attend the training and remain for the Opportunity Expo, where they will have an opportunity to network with employers, resource organizations and job seekers.

The Opportunity Expo is open to employers, resource partners and job seekers. The event is designed to encourage connections and provide information about employment opportunities, workforce resources, training and other services available throughout West Virginia.
