Free Expungement Clinic to Be Held Nov. 2 in Bluefield

BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Legal Aid of West Virginia will host a free expungement clinic Monday, Nov. 2, at Recovery Point Bluefield to help West Virginians learn about expungement eligibility, the legal process and available resources.

The clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at Recovery Point Bluefield, 900 Highland Ave., Bluefield, West Virginia 24701. The event is open to the public, and no registration is required.

Legal Aid of West Virginia representatives will be available to provide information about West Virginia’s expungement process, explain eligibility requirements and connect attendees with information about available legal resources.

Expungement may offer eligible individuals an opportunity to move forward by addressing certain records that can create barriers to employment, housing and other opportunities. Learning about the process can help individuals better understand their options and the steps they may be able to take toward a fresh start.

Community members are encouraged to share information about the clinic with friends, family members and others who may benefit from learning more about expungement.
